Why is it that selling 3 point hitch arms and stays on eBay is so frequent? Do they wear out/break/bend in normal use?

They can get bent pretty easily pulling ground engaging implements around tight corners or using the rear cutter of a box scraper like a dozer.
I guess the question is why there are enough people looking for them that other people are trying to sell them? A related question is where do the good used ones they're trying to sell come from? I don't think they wear out but some do get bent and some used tractor sold with back-hoes get separated from their lower link arms, which would be sources of demand. I guess parted out tractors and people who buy back-hoes might be the supply. ....
